Filter for domestic borehole

Digging a borehole or a well generates significant savings compared to tap water, whether the water is used for a heat pump, watering or supplying the house.

With clay, silt or sand present, it is necessary to set up a filtration. Hectron automatic solutions avoid the time constraint and the cost of replacing cartridges.

The equipment below is also suitable for commercial applications such as car washes.

AG AUTOMATIC FILTERS
AG range filters are also fully automatic. It is the most efficient solution for optimum water quality, even if water is loaded with very fine particles. They are recommended in the presence of clay or for potabilization applications

QUESTIONS / ANSWERS

What protection for a heat pump on groundwater?
Tubular heat exchangers usually do not require any protection. Plate heat exchangers are more efficient, but also more sensitive to fouling. In the presence of sand, choose a hydrocyclone or Prago. In the presence of soil or clay, finer filtration is required to avoid deposits. The AG100 solution is the most recommended.

Is it possible to drink the water from a well or borehole?
The filtration step can remove particles and water coloration. But it is essential to add after the filter a system against bacteria, usually a UV. Other contaminants may be present ; a physico-chemical analysis of water is therefore essential.

Will the filter make my water crystal clear?
Colored water indicates the presence of very fine suspended solids. AG100 filters are an efficient solution in 90% of cases, but it may occur that the suspended solids are too thin to be removed by these filters. Do not hesitate to send us a water sample for validation.

Hydrocyclone or Prago automatic filter?
Prago 2 filter (100 microns) will remove more suspended solids than a hydrocyclone. But main difference is for maintenance: the Prago 2 is fully automatic, while a hydrocyclone has to be drain manually, about once a month.
